The title song was written as a tribute to Jack Kerouac, an American novelist and poet, who died In 1969, at age 47, from an abdominal hemorrhage caused by a lifetime of heavy drinking; the album cover is based on 1955 "In the Wee Small Hours" by Frank Sinatra.
